Spectrum has a balanced and experienced Board and management team. The group's origins go back to 1992, and since that period Spectrum has built a close-knit team of high-calibre individuals. Mark Lewarne, Spectrum's CEO, is a veteran of the payphone business, having joined the company in 1992.

Lord Young of Graffham, Non-Executive Chairman

Lord Young of Graffham, Non-Executive Chairman Former Secretary of State for Trade & Industry and former Executive Chairman of Cable & Wireless plc. Currently Chairman of Pixology plc and Accident Exchange plc, both AIM-listed companies, and Young Associates, a private investment firm.

Mark Lewarne, Chief Executive

Mark Lewarne, Chief Executive Thirteen years experience in various management positions at Spectrum. Appointed Chief Executive following 2002 MBO. Previous positions include Commercial Director and Chief Operating Officer. Prior experience at Palmer & Harvey and Kingfisher Group.

Philip Congdon, Group Finance Director

Philip Congdon, Group Finance Director Joined Spectrum in 2004. Prior positions include Finance Director of Hughes Network Systems Europe, Datrontech and Bell & Howell Europe.



Simon Alberga, Executive Director

Simon Alberga, Executive Director Responsible for group strategy and acquisitions. Currently also a director of Young Associates, a private investment firm. Previously a banker at European Bank for Reconstruction & Development and corporate finance executive at Baring Brothers.

Mike Watson, Non-executive Director

Mike Watson, Non-executive Director Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. Thirty years of experience including at board level of engineering and technology companies. Prior senior management experience at Honeywell, ICL, AEA Technology and Tertio.

The Hon Peter Benson , Non Executive Director

Simon Alberga, Executive Director Chairman of the Audit Commitee
Peter Benson joined Spectrum in May 2005. Peter began his career at Cooper Brothers & Co, chartered accountants, which became Coopers & Lybrand in 1973 and merged with Pricewaterhouse in July 1998 to become PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC). During his career at PWC, Peter was involved in auditing, financial investigations and in more recent years in major privatisation assignments in both the UK and around the world. Since retiring from PWC in 2001, Peter has continued an active business life. He is chairman of a trends research company and acts as consultant to a London-based international investment house.
