Internet Terminals

Spectrum introduced internet terminals in 2001, providing email and surfing services to leisure and business travellers in airports and hotels. Following the February 2005 UK Explorer acquisition, Spectrum has long term contracts with BAA, Birmingham Airport, Leeds-Bradford Airport, Newcastle Airport and others, and the company is now present in airports representing 85% of all passenger traffic in the UK.

Spectrum operates approximately 1700 internet units in the UK, which typically supply internet access to consumers at a price of £1 for 10 minutes.

Spectrum also offers WiFi and laptop docking services to business traveller customers in hotels and airports.

Spectrum has also begun to make its street kiosks available for the provision of internet access via WiFi hotspots. The technology which supports most WiFi hotspots can work in a radius of over 100 metres.
